In the year 732, a very important battle waged, one that still matters to this present day, when you're reading this, probably shaking your head at how one military event 1,500 years ago, is connected to my life right now.
The Battle of Tours, fought literally on October 10th in the year 732, slowed and later completely halted the spread of Islam from the Iberian Peninsula to Western Europe and the Frankish victors remained Christians, which remained the dominant religion in the Middle Ages.
On September 11th 1683, some 950 years later, a different Muslim army marched towards Europe's important Christian capitals. In the Battle of Vienna, on a hill called Kahlenberg, the Holy Roman Empire and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth defeated the Ottoman Empire and blocked the Muslims from controlling Christian Europe for the second time.
100 years later, in in the mid-18th-century, James Watt's steam engine invention and James Hargreaves Spinning Jenny, launched the industrial revolution, which allowed the Europeans to use vessels and ships and circumvent around the globe, bypassing the routes and chokepoints, controlled by the Ottomans or the Arabian Peninsula tribes, which served as the interstate of east and west since time immemorial.
Islam reached its lowest point in 1924, when the Ottoman Empire fell, the British and the French divided the Middle East among themselves and Christianity seemed to be invincible.
In a major twist of faith, the European did not attribute their victory to their religion; in fact, they did just the opposite: the Russians turned Communist and Atheists, while Western Europeans called themselves enlightened or progressives, which means those that use the intellect alone, or science, without regard to God or to religion.
In 732, the Franks attributed their victory over Umayyad Caliphate to Jesus Christ and so did the Austro-Hungarians in 1683, but the industrial revolution made Europe secular and enlightened. Religion was considered primitive, because science can solve all mysteries, not spiritual analysis.
Science without regard to the wishes of the soul gave Europe Tanks, Planes and blowtorches and Europe's elites, all Christians by heritage, but by that point, loyal to the nation-state, turned their might against each other and in 1939, waged a war on whose peoples are more superior.

Religion was no longer important and after 100 million deaths, the Europeans decided neither was the nation-state.
While they were confused over what they can bend around, since religion leads to holy wars and countries lead to territorial wars, they said that if they were no God and no border, then surely there be nothing to fight about.
If man is nothing and if his identity itself can be whatever he claims it to be, in order to prove his point, then he'd surely stay out of conflict. Modernity was born, evolving into post-modernism, progressivism and finally wokeness.
Wokeness then morphed into chaos and that's why many leaders, like Trump, say the other side has lost its mind and he's right: the other side is effectively negating its humanity.
They don’t believe in anything and that's how they are, in their minds,the most morally right. If you believe in God, you're primitive. If you believe in country, you're a fascist. If you believe in genders, you're racist.
What they fail to understand is that chaos is death.
Europe's elites in Brussels are chaotic and Putin realizes that they're borderline insane. They think that if they've grown past the era of fighting over religion or territory, then they are some advanced and progressive culture, nothing can touch them.
It is lunacy and fantasy and my bold bet is that Putin will expand the war into Europe.
