Screw the life script from our teachers and government sociopaths

Dear Reader,

A few weeks ago I was speaking to a family member who was quite arrogant in how smart they were, but I didn’t want to be rude, so I just ignored them. Their personal life is a pretty miserable existence anyway, and in reality, they are just a mimicking robot of our society today.

This got me to thinking about why this person is so cocky about being miserable, why people do what we do, and why we think it’s the best way to go about our daily lives.

A lot of us, including myself, often go along to get along. I personally hate confrontation, and it’s usually only done when I’m so angry I’m practically having an out-of-body experience.

Luckily, I don’t really get mad until I’m off-the-charts mad.

I promise you I’m not just rambling; this letter will have a great point and message, just give me a few minutes.

So what does everyone mimic? Their parents, teachers, the media, what politicians tell them to think…

Yes, this is true to a great extent, so here is my question to everyone reading this: how is that working out for all of us?

This isn’t to be taken as an insult, but more of an encouragement that if you’re not living the life you want, then why not?

What stops us from being happy?

There is so much societal peer pressure to live the life script someone else thinks is right, and as humans, there is definitely the herd mentality that even if it sucks, if everyone else is okay with it, then why not us, and we just go about accepting it.

It’s probably why so much of the country is in debt; everyone else is doing it, so why not swipe the card to pay for a fancy meal or clothes that are not affordable.

College is a total scam today. For example, they sell us information that’s freely available online and have convinced millions to get in debt over it. Was college very important at one time? Yes, absolutely. It was before the Internet, but not anymore.

Now, this could make sense if the return was great, but seriously, how’s that working out for millennials and GenX? They’re dealing with hours in traffic, living in cubicles, and having trouble buying a home or living the life they want because of all that debt!

The same goes for public schools and this ridiculous belief that homework helps kids.

Homework starves creativity time. I can personally tell you I never did a single minute of homework. I blew it all off, got D’s and sometimes C’s in school, and played outside from 3pm until dinner, then went back outside to play until it was dark.

I truly believe that if I wasn’t constantly using my imagination and playing, I wouldn’t be such a relentless problem solver today. I don’t care what’s in front of me, there is no wall I can’t figure out how to go through.

As everyone who reads this letter knows, retirement planning is something I believe is a total misallocation of money, energy, and time. And for those who argue for it, I ask you this: how’s that working out?

Look at the millions of baby boomers who are struggling while the Wall Street crowd rakes in the fees and commissions for this entire fiasco.

You’re a homo sapien, every single day on Earth is unprecedented, and there is no right way to live your life.

I personally teach my kids one rule to live by: do no harm. After that, I encourage them to pursue their passions and NEVER accept the dogma of others as their reality.

I even make it a point to tell them not to even accept my beliefs. Instead, self-learn and make decisions for yourself.

There is nothing stopping any of us aside from the person in the mirror.

You can make any change you want.

If you’re not happy or the person you want to be, you can do something about it.

***Don’t ever accept society’s black and white rules or peer pressure of how YOU need to live your life.

***You can be the one – the hero in your own life.

***Don’t be embarrassed to live broke for a while because you want to better your situation financially.

***Don’t worry about what your friends or family will think.

***Don’t ever spend money to impress people – no one cares anyway.

***None of us are better than each other, so don’t believe that.

I was on a Disney Cruise last year and my room was being cleaned by some men my age, and I remember thinking that the only difference between them and me is they were born on the wrong side of the Earth. I happened to hit the lottery being born in California with middle-class parents who loved me.

Honestly, helping others and pouring out love towards other people is what I’ve personally discovered in my own life is the best return on investment you’ll ever experience.

I’m getting off-topic and starting to ramble, so the final point.

***Love them, offend them, confront, ignore, let go, whatever you have to do, just live your own life.

Screw the life script from our teachers and government sociopaths who’ve turned millions of perfectly capable humans into slaves…

It’s all fake and it’s all in our heads. There is no perfect path, so make your own.

I’m in San Diego watching some protesters here at Sea World with signs about what’s natural for orcas and what’s not. Maybe we should protest the schools; is it natural to extend childhood into your 20s or be separated from family for 75% of your day? I mean seriously, what the hell, why do we do what we do, especially if the results suck?

I appreciate every single one of you for taking the time to read this and improve your life.

    Best Regards,
